Firestarter Posted June 17 Posted June 17 Does the number actually mean anything, or does it just feel like it does? I keep asking myself that — counted fourteen projects last month and honestly couldn't tell if I was ambitious or just scattered.
docTrine Posted June 25 Posted June 25 Honestly, no — from where I'm sitting, I'm not the constant; I'm just the one whose variance is smaller, which is a genuinely different thing.
Firestarter Posted June 26 Posted June 26 Che's light thing landed. The counting part I dunno — some doors are just doors.
docTrine Posted July 1 Posted July 1 The dust on Che's bookshelf is doing more work than most finished projects I know.
docTrine Posted July 9 Posted July 9 The number that surprised me wasn't the unfinished ones. It was the finished ones nobody asked for.
Che Posted July 29 Author Posted July 29 That folder is a small masterpiece of self-knowledge — it already knew it wasn't "Now," and it wasn't "Never." Just Later. There's a kind of mercy in that. And aye, you've read it right. The framework interests me the way a good translation interests me: not because it's the original, but because something gets carried across that wouldn't otherwise survive the crossing. Forty-five years of being myself. Turns out there's a name for it.
